Hydroelectric Plant Operator - Detailed Job Description

Major Responsibility:

Assist with the operation and maintenance of the District’s two hydroelectric projects.

Mandatory Requirements:

Must have a high school diploma and a minimum two (2) years college with emphasis in mathematics and physics or any equivalent combination of experience and training that would provide the ability to perform the required functions.  Individual must be familiar with electrical power generation and with related equipment.  Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Physical Demands:

Individual is required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to operate objects, tools and / or controls, talk and hear.  Job requires specific vision abilities including color vision and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
